The Inn At River Oaks Policies

Check-In

Minimum check-in age is 25.

Check-in time is anytime after 2:00PM. (Early check-in requests cannot be guaranteed) This property considers guests aged 16 and under, at time of travel, to be children. Children will stay free in the same room as their parents; however, charges for additional bedding may apply. 

Checkout

Checkout time is by 11:00AM on the day of your scheduled departure. A late check-out fee of $50 will be charged to you unless prior arrangements have been made with the motel.

Payment / Deposit Information 

A valid credit card is required to secure your reservation. The motel will authorize the credit card the day of your arrival. If we are unable to secure authorization on the credit card, the motel reserves the right to cancel the reservation. 

Your credit card is not charged during the booking process. It is merely utilized to hold your reservation. You may pay by credit card (Visa or Mastercard), cash, traveler’s checks, or money order upon arrival. If paying by cash, a damage deposit of $50 will be required per room.

Drug Free

The Inn At River Oaks is a drug free family oriented place. We do not tolerate any drug activity at all. Any person caught using or in the possession of any illegal substance will be evicted and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. We appreciate and encourage the Southport Police Department to make random patrols through our facility to protect our guests and our property.

Early Departure Fee

An early departure fee of $50 will be charged if you are unable to complete your stay through the entire reservation period.

Extra Persons

Any extra persons beyond your stated quantities may be subject to additional charges. The availability of accommodations for extra guests is not guaranteed by the motel.

Parking

Parking is provided for all guests. However, the motel is not responsible for damages to your vehicle or for theft of items while parked on the premises. Please keep your vehicle secured and take your valuables with you when leaving your vehicle unattended. One car per room is provided, for additional parking please see our front desk staff for assistance.

Smoking

Smoking is permitted only in smoking rooms and in designated smoking areas on the property.  Smoking is not permitted in non-smoking rooms.  Any violation of this policy is grounds for property eviction and/or a $100.00 penalty to be charged to the named reservation of the room. 

Alcohol Consumption

The Inn At River oaks is a family oriented place, we ask that if you consume alcohol beverages that you do so in your rooms. Should you come outside, we ask that you keep it in a cup and that you do not disturb the other guest.

Quiet hours

Quiet hours are from 11:00 P.M. until 7:00 A. M. we ask that you keep the noise to a minim and that you do not disturb other guest and respect their time of rest and relaxation

After Hours Assistance

If the motel front office is closed or the desk clerk is not available, please call 910-713-2107 for emergency assistance.

Cancellation Policy

There is a 72 hour cancellation policy prior to check in. Except for CP&L Power Outage Personnel and those renting our apartment, which requires a two-week notice. Failure to cancel within these time periods will result in a cancellation fee of one night for regular reservations and three nights at the regular room rate for CP&L and those renting the apartment. The fees are to cover credit card cancellation fees and lost of other potential reservations.
